Celebrating the impact of one of Suki’s first clinicians
Dr. Michael Miller has helped shape Suki from the beginning. As he retires after 40 years in medicine, we look back at his extraordinary career — and at the legacy of presence, care, and heart he leaves behind.
A career of compassion and community
Like his fellow clinicians, Dr. Miller entered the medical field grounded in a simple purpose: helping people. For four decades he worked tirelessly at it; patients became friends, mentees became trusted colleagues, and family watched Dr. Miller become an indispensable cornerstone of the Nashville medical community. On the eve of his retirement, many of those friends, colleagues, and loved ones gathered to celebrate Dr. Miller’s remarkable legacy of service — and to reflect on the vision he leaves for new generations of clinicians.

Shaping a better future for healthcare
But even a day-to-day defined by the service he’s passionate about couldn’t insulate Dr. Miller from a crisis in the profession: clinician burnout.
What causes many clinicians to step back instead inspired Dr. Miller to find a different path forward, partnering with Suki as one of our first clinicians and helping us build the solution he believes will return practitioners to the heart of medicine: patient care, not administrative burden.

“Knowing that a physician like Dr. Miller had real input on the Suki product, it really encouraged me to know this is an organization that's going to listen to the feedback, not just of the physician, but also of those of us who support the physicians every day.”

Less burnout. More presence.
The Ambient Clinical Intelligence that Dr. Miller has been instrumental in creating doesn’t just automate documentation; it transforms a broken system into one that actually works for the clinicians who practice within it and the patients who access it for care.
For Dr. Miller, that meant freedom from burnout, better service for patients, and more years in the profession than he thought possible: all things he hopes will become the new normal in medicine.
Because of his work with Suki, presence — not paperwork — can now define the careers of the clinicians who come next.
